I thought about this yesterday. in a sort of eureka moment the idea just popped into my head and since yesterday I've been working on it until i finally finished today (wanted to finish as soon as possible cuz of low attention span =3) take a look at this screenshot



When i start firefox this page pops up which is saved on my hard drive. With dreamweaver I embedded a flash movie that acts like a homepage to a new html page. The logo is animated with special effects and the words are buttons with the geturl command. All you need to know what to do is some animation skills ( if you want your own homepage to look cool =D), actionscript for geturl command and for loadbar ( takes about 1 sec to load cuz the flash document size needs to be big for your screen size.), and dreamweaver skills enough to embed the swf file on the html document and to position it. once you do that then set the default homepage to the html document. the possibilities are endless its up to you how you want it to look or what links you want on it. One more thing the first time you try to use a link a warning sign will come up. Click on settings and change the settings so the webpage you made is trusted so you can use the geturl links. Sorry if this is kinda hard to understand, I've been thinking about making a tut for those interested (i have alot of free time <3)

Its simple with the eye candy in the middle and links to the left, I can add more links or take off links to my liking. NOTE: I made the length and width of this one for viewing purposes, the version that I see takes up the whole screen. The animation might end up slowing down if you have a slow computer if you choose to make your own homepage, or another option is to have a separate swf. for your links and such, and another for your eye candy or whatever =0
